Family Matters Personal Counseling Attachment Assessment
All of life is about relationships. Whatever stresses that you are facing -- whatever might be urging you to seek the help of a counselor -- the root cause will generally be some challenge or constraint in how you connect in your primary relationships (including your internal relationship with yourself). If those connections are good, then everything else in life will follow. If, on the other hand, those closest contacts are problematic, the rest of your life will be unsatisfying. Therefore, how to operate in relationships is a critically important skill. Many of us, both child and adult, have had our relational capacities impacted by trauma. Finding ways to restore trust, hope, self-worth, purpose, connection, and autonomy are all a part of the attachment based work that I do. The impact of this relational work will ripple through the practical problems people face in their families, marriages, workplaces, and personal lives in positive ways.
